To Do - Summer 08 - Artsy Version

  1. Paintings
    • The Beatles, in the style of the black & paintings shown in this post, except big (and by big, I mean 16x20)
    • A lemon. On a square canvas with those thick edges. Inspired by this photo. (Yes, that's my photo.)
    • Something spanning over three 16x20 canvases to go above my bed. My room is greeeeeen now, btw. Any suggestions for the subject matter of this piece are greatly appreciated...because I have no idea.
  2. Jewelery
    • Apparently "jewelery" only has one L
    • I have SO many beads so I am going to actually do stuff with them this summer
  3. Purses
    • Attempt a hobo-style-ish purse
    • One like this
    • Sew designs/shapes on purse, sort of like this
    • Old t-shirts-turned-purse (a la the Sgt Peppers one from last summer, seen here.)
  4. Scrapbook
    • Commencement, Christmas, New Years, My birthday, Guelph stuff, & eventually Germany (11 days!)
  5. Card-making
    • My mom gave me a box to hold cards with dividers (ie Birthday, Thank You, Romance (ok, so that one I won't be using anytime soon...*sigh*)) so really I HAVE to fill it
  6. Paper making
    • Yes, I am going to make paper. I have a kit. It will be stupendous.
  7. Play guitar as much as possible
    • learn new songs (I have a list)
    • Memorize more songs so when people are like "You play guitar?! Play something!" I can play more than Wonderwall & Norwegian Wood
  8. Play piano as much as possible
    • Specifically, be able to play Clair de Lune well by the end of the summer (perhaps memorized?)
  9. Learn to play something more than Jack Johnson's Breakdown on ukulele
  10. Think of a tenth thing so that this list has ten things. Lists are better when they're in sets of ten.

ahahahah, Wonderwall. And also, I think you might mean boho, not hobo, for your purse. 10 should be learn to knit. Or do you already know how to knit? And you should do a painting of birds flying.

psh I know how to knit, jeeze Kate. Remember those wrist warmers from grade 11 math? Yeah I knit those. And my black & white striped scarf? Knit that as well. (hmmm seems I've made a lot of emo-type things...SHHH)
number 10 would probably be to sew a pencil case, because mine right now is the ugliest thing ever, and I was going to do it last summer but never got around to it.
Also: I like the birds idea :)
