Punk

Today was the Punk & Grunge lecture in my music & pop culture class...my second favourite so far after The British Invasion lecture (um, The Beatles for an hour? hell yes). And what I learned from this punk lecture is that punk music really makes me want to play my electric guitar. Like, he put on The Ramones, and I was like just like...wow, I really really really want to play this on guitar. Hard and fast chords. Not that this is a completely new idea for me, of course, since punk rock is really what got me into playing guitar in the first place. But I think there's just something to be said for playing raw, distorted guitar chords. My need to play this type of music on my electric is also probably a combination of not having my electric here with me and pretty much only playing my acoustic for 8 months...raw & fast punk music doesn't work so well on the acoustic. Not that I don't love playing my acoustic because I totally do, I think I like it more than electric. But I just really want to play my electric. Specifically punk. I think I'm rambling now so I'm just going to stop.

That sounded like it was about sex with all the "raw, fast, HARD!!!" lmao. I want an electric guitar. For free. And I want to play mine more and get good. Now. ok? good.

you dirty, dirty minded child.

I don't really care about being good. I'm good enough that I can play most things without it being too difficult...and if it IS too difficult then I just don't play it, lol. I just play for the enjoyment. It's not like I'm ACTUALLY going to become a famous musician...unless I was in a punk band, because punk musicians don't really know how to play their instruments anyways and there's only 3 chords lol :P

Haha, we should start a punk band then. It would be killer. And by "good" I don't mean good good, I just mean pretty good good. Comprende?
