milk

Yesterday I bought 1% milk instead of the usual skim I buy. We actually used to drink 1%, we switched to skim a few years ago when my mother decided we were all lactose intolerant (ok, my sister and my mom actually are, but I really don't think I am), and she couldn't get 1% in the 2L lactose free cartons, but she COULD get skim. So as a result I've been drinking skim lactose free milk for a few years, and my mom says I shouldn't switch back because my body is probably used to having lactose free milk, and soooooo I've been buying lactose free skim milk from our little on-campus convenience store thing (yes, more expensive, but considerably more convenient (hence the "convenience" store?)). BUT yesterday they didn't have skim, they only had 1%. So I bought the 1% because I needed milk. I'm eating it on my cereal as we speak. It pretty much tastes like cream to me. Yum.

oh my god, I can't even imagine what 2% would taste like to me. super thick cream. lmao.

skim is the way to go, actually. it does still taste like milk and there are WAY fewer calories! I pretty much drink skim milk instead of doing physical activity. lmao.

haha, i'm sure that's an exact trade off there. 2% only had 2% more fat than skim, so it's really not that big a difference. cutting out...bread would be more effective.

Well 2% more fat makes a huge difference.... per 8 ounce serving, skim milk has 0g of fat and 2% has 4.5g!!!!! that's a significant amount, actually.

I'll stick to my skim, thanks :P
