Tutorials

I hate them.

The TAs do not know what they're doing. They screw up their negatives and positives, and it kind of matters. A lot. (Born-Haber cycle, anyone?) They give you wrong solutions to problems, and then they have to correct all the mistakes they made the next week. They give you different formulas than you were given in class.

It's just all around frustrating! So, usually I don't go to tutorials. Waste of precious time. However, 7.5% of my Structure & Bonding (one of my many Chemistry courses) mark is an attendance/participation mark for going & participating in this stupid, unhelpful tutorial! So I have no choice but to go to these tutorials and come out knowing less about the course than when I went in.

wow, it sounds like you're in Child, Youth and Family. Sometimes I have three of these a semester.

I guess it's the same no matter what program you're in! That's more comforting. Although at the same time, not.

I also hate tutorials. And I also dislike the lab TAs who don't know what they're doing. Luckily I only have to go to one tutorial every other week to do a quiz and I skip the rest.
