I now have a favourite spot at the library. 3rd floor, outside the math & stats room on the row closest to the math & stats room, 3rd cubicle from the end furthest from the elevators. Don't steal my spot, it's a good spot. I like it. There's no one behind me, just a wall. It's pretty excellent. I have read and re-read all the graffiti on the "walls" and it just feels so home-y. Yes, I should be studying chemistry right now because I have a very strong fear of failing my 30% midterm tomorrow, but I need a break. A stress-buster, if you will. And writing is one of my stress-busters (not sure if that should be hyphenated but I'm going to leave it).
In other news: Although Timmie's iced caps are very tasty, they will just never be as good as starbucks' frappaccinos. Iced caps have slushie-syndrome, as I like to call it. You know. If you just suck from the bottom, it sucks up all the flavour and liquid and all you're left with is ice. Starbucks' frappaccinos don't get that. They stay good till the last ...slurp. Man, I miss my Starbucks frappaccinos. All 600-and-something calories (ok, that's just a guess. Nothing is as disgusting as Micky-D's mcflurries, though, in terms of calories. stay away from those suckers).
And now for some Beatles trivia which I have recently learned. Did you know that the Beatle's first single was "Love Me Do"? It has 3 chords; D, G, and C. Amazing. And Ringo sings "With a Little Help From My Friends", hence the line "What would you do, if I sang out of tune, would you stand up and walk out on me?" (Ringo is the drummer, for those of you who aren't familiar). Originally it was something like "would you throw ripe tomatoes at me?" but they decided that he might actually get tomatoes thrown at him. That would suck. Ringo also sings "Yellow Submarine", and a couple others, but I can't remember them off the top of my head... The Beatles released 2 full-length original albums per year from 1963-1970, except for one year when one of the 2 albums was a 'greatest hits' album. And I think they only released one in 1970, Let It Be. TWO ALBUMS A YEAR! Now it's like one album per 2 years. If that. And sometimes I really can't tell whether it's Paul or John singing. Sometimes it's obvious, and sometimes I get it completely wrong. I mean, what's with John singing "The Ballad of John and Yoko"??? Seriously. Paul should sing that. Since it's about John. Jeeze.
I've decided I'm going to do a Beatles painting in the same style that I did my Pride & Prejudice, The Notebook, and The Princess Bride ones. Black and white stamp-like. But it's going to be much bigger. It's going to be excellent.
Ok now I really have to study...wish me luck!
