Luke, I am your father.

Perhaps the most famous line of Star Wars, no? ...well. you would think, since everyone always says that when quoting Star Wars (epsiode V, to be exact). But that's not even what he says! Darth Vader never actually says "Luke, I am your father." I'VE BEEN LIVING A LIE! and it's not like I haven't seen Star Wars before (unlike SOME people *cough*), because I have! multiple times! And I, along with most of the general population, have always believed that just after Darth Vader cuts off Luke Skywalker's hand, he says those 5 famous words. but that's not how it happens at all....Luke says something along the lines of "Obi Wan told me you killed my father!" and Darth Vader replies "No. I AM your father." So why exactly does everyone always say "Luke, I am your father" when that's not even what he says?! I don't get it.

All this Star Wars talk is brought on by our physics party last night, when we watched all three original Star Wars movies...episodes IV, V, and VI. "Use the force" was the general inspiration for watching Star Wars at a physics party (force, get it?) although as we were watching it there were many other physics things as well, such as orbiting planets (we just had a test on that!).

May the force be with you.
